He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Sarajevo in 2011. He started his professional career at the Clinic for Neurosurgery of the Cantonal Hospital Zenica, and since 2013 he has been employed at the Clinic for Neurosurgery of the Marburg University Clinic. He completed his specialization in neurosurgery in 2018, after which he completed his subspecialization in neurosurgical intensive care in Germany. Since August 2023, he has been habilitated at the University of Marburg
